Reading the figures in Car Tires

Although produced by different brands, each tire has a specific code. Well the code number and letter contains information about the condition of tires, ranging in size up to the maximum speed allowed for tires. so as not to confuse again, we will try to tell these codes on Otolovers. a tire with code like this: 185/70 R14 82 H.

That is what? 185 is a number that indicates Nominal Section With or it could be called a cross-section width of the tire. 70 here shows a high aspect ratio or sidewall of the tire.

While R indicates the tire is of Radial construction. As for the number 14 indicates Rim or rim diameter. Figures 82 a Load index / the tire's ability to withstand load (kg). 

The last letter 'H' which serves the tire indicates the speed limit can pass, and H indicates the tire here is capable of speeds up to 210 km / h.
